Using Burnett Equations to Derive an Analytical Solution to Pressure-Driven Gas Flow and Heat Transfer in Micro-Couette Flow
The aim of the present study is deriving an analytical solution to incompressible thermal flow in a micro-Couette geometry in the presence of a pressure gradient using Burnett equations with first- and second-order slip boundary conditions. The lower plate of the micro-Couette structure is stationary, whereas the upper plate moves at a constant velocity. Non-dimensional axial velocity and tempe...
متن کاملMethod for Pressure Driven Mhd Duct Flow
In this paper, ve investigate the flov of a viscous, Incompresslble, electrlcally conducting fluld through a rectangular duct in the presence of a magnetic fleld, when one of the boundaries perpedlcular to the umgnetlc field is partly conducting and partly Insu/atlng, by a modified Boundary Integral Hethod. Three problems are considered (1) flov through an infinite channel, (li) flov through a ...
متن کاملPeristaltic Flow in a Deformable Channel
The effects of wall contraction or expansion on the characteristics of the peristaltic flow have been considered in this paper. For that, we present a theoretical model of laminar incompressible viscous peristaltic flow in a deformable channel. The problem is modeled in terms of unsteady twodimensional Navier Stokes equations and the solution is obtained using the perturbation method. The physi...
متن کاملParticle dispersion in two-dimensional peristaltic flow
Abstract Particle dispersion in a two-dimensional peristaltic flow with zero pressure rise is investigated. It is found that, depending on the degree of occlusion of the peristalsis, particle motion can be forward or retrograde. Dispersion of a group of particles is quantified using the mean particle position and the variance around this. The degree of occlusion of the wave can be used to promo...
متن کاملA peristaltic pump driven 89 Zr separation module
To facilitate the separation of Zr produced in yttrium foils, an automated separation module was designed and assembled. The module separates more than 85% of produced Zr – activity in 3 g foils in less than 90 min. About 10 % remains in the dissolving vial. The quality of the separated Zr activity was investigated for labeling of the HER2-binding monoclonal antibody fragment, trastuzumab-Fab.
